Understated and nuanced, this is initially somewhat closed, but beguiling aromas of ripe pear and nectarine accented by hints of fresh flowers and lemon peel develop with time. The texture is racy and delicate, and the fruit is not overwhelmed by the restrained use of new oak in the fermentation. The lingering finish hints of enough extract to allow this wine to improve with a bit of time in the cellar.
