Score range: 94-96. From the Brittan Estate Vineyard in McMinnville, the Golden Thread Pinot Noir brings together fruit from across the winery's hillside estate. Farmed and shaped by winegrower Robert Brittan, the site is defined by fractured volcanic rock, steep and shifting aspects, and the steady influence of the Van Duzer winds. Clones: Swan, Wädenswil, Pommard, Calera, Mt. Eden, 115. Bright and dark at the same time, with rich forest berry character, confier, and elegant cedarwood spices. Medium-bodied, fuelled by tart cherry fruit, blood orange acidity with a sanguine-like quality, and elegant rose petal and tense, grippy tannins on the lengthy mineral-scented finish. A limited special auction lot bottling for the 2026 Willamette Valley Wine Auction.
