Wow, this is wonderful. The 2023 Block 28 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the 2007-planted Walla Walla site on the Oregon site that sits over 1000 feet and is subject to near-constant wind through the Walla Walla Valley. The herbal tones are stunning with wild bay leaf, eucalyptus and notes of desert scrub that accent the dark fruits and radiant graphite tones. Exotic on the palate, with smoky Berbere spices, savoury roast fennel and crushed basalt and roast sea salt. A dazzling display that truly embraces the goal of making Cabernet herbaceous again. Beautiful.
