The Willamette Valley started seeing the importation of Burgundian ‘suitcase clones‘ in the late 1980s, and this wine is a blend of Dijon clones from that time. This wine shows raspberry leaf, spicy red berries, and dusty gravel aromatics from the higher elevations of the Hyland Vineyard. The palate is lithe, with red plums, bright blood orange spritz, and a core of savoury dried herbs, which carry into a lengthy, contemplative finish.
