From the marine sedimentary soils of the Yamhill-Carlton, this is a remote part of the north valley, its forested and described by winemaker François Millet as, ‘a bit sombre, discreet and almost secretive.’ This wine is riper in style, with dark fruits and sweet, turned earth on the nose. The palate shows ripe cherries, savoury rosehip oil, and a finish of dried herbs.
