The reserve wines from Lange are a barrel selection. In 1994, Don recalls a warmer vintage that was a year that Oregon started to get some attention from the press, with fleshy berries and earth, and a surprising freshness; there's a touch of cinnamon stick and sweet spice on the finish. Great freshness remains from what was at the time considered a warm vintage, though it would be thought of as more of an average growing season in terms of warmth.
