Rich, sweet earth notes, mushrooms, and touches of leather, evocative of an older, elegant Rioja, mark this Tempranillo sourced from nearly 2000 feet in the Rogue Valley, just outside of Talent, Oregon. Upper Five is a biodynamically farmed vineyard, and provides two Tempranillo clones for this bottle. The palate mixes savoury dried herbs with a persistent pop of pomegranate and tart, dried Persian barberries. The finish is dusty, tannic, and herbal.
