Score range: 94-95. An exclusive blend from winemakers Jean-Nicolas Méo and Noah Roberts, drawn from a single barrel of fruit harvested from Bishop Creek Vineyard in the heart of the Yamhill-Carlton, where vines are rooted in ancient marine sedimentary soils. Harvest began on 12 September 2024. Bright, focused, and energetic, with white-floral notes and plenty of wet-stone minerality on the nose. The palate delivers fantastic chalky mineral character layered with ripe pear fruit and saline acid tension that carries through the lengthy, floral-driven finish. Jean-Nicolas and Jay became friends in 1988 while Jean-Nicolas was studying in the United States. A chance meeting at a house party in Philadelphia sparked a friendship built around shared philosophies on life, music, and wine. As Jean-Nicolas returned to France to immerse himself in his family’s renowned domaine, and Jay built IRS Records into a seminal indie label, the friendship endured over the following decades. A limited special auction lot bottling for the 2026 Willamette Valley Wine Auction.
