From a site on Red Mountain, this wine breaks the mould, fresh and concentrated, soaring savoury aromatics, with bay leaf and eucalyptus, with graphite and a touch of smoky violets. The palate carries this appellation's density, which is the hottest in Washington State. However, the focus on fruit and minerality is abundant with dark berries mingling with pencil lead and crushed stones. The finish has a juicy acidity that lingers on just long enough.
