Bright and focused with plenty of clarity, this Riesling was planted in 1981 near Hood River, Oregon, at just over 100 metres elevation. The cool climate corridor along the Columbia River between Washington and Oregon has cooler average temperatures than the Willamette Valley, creating excellent conditions for cool climate varieties. The brilliant radiance of crushed stone minerality and sweet hints of cardamom and lemon candy ignite the aromatics. The palate shows a wonderful texture balanced with sweet, ripe pear, tart lemon cream, and candied citrus at the finish.
