It is from a vineyard just outside the Rocks District with a distinctly similar soil profile, though it sits 200 metres higher in elevation along the south fork of the Walla Walla River. This wine is delightful, with fresh floral notes and salted blood orange spice in the aromatics. The palate is spiced, with savoury herbs, dried lavender and mouthfuls of wild red berries. A balance betweenn sauvage and classic. A gorgeous Syrah that shows the region's strength with the variety.
