Score range: 94-95. Crafted by winemaker Piper Underbrink, this blend comes from an exploration of clone, elevation, and aspect in the vineyard combined with a study of balance and precision with whole-cluster fermentation in the cellar. The wine was assembled from a series of individual fermentations showcasing varying levels of whole cluster, each aged separately in French oak before the final blend was composed for weight and balance. Fragrant red berry fruit and sweet Asian spices lead the way, joined by hints of clove and flamed orange peel. Medium-bodied, with juicy acidity and gravelly tannins framing notes of bergamot tea and gunflint through the dark earth and mineral-laced finish. A limited special auction lot bottling for the 2026 Willamette Valley Wine Auction.
