Deep notes of baked strawberry and stewed cherry with touches of cedar sawdust and cinnamon. The palate is medium, with cooked raspberry, cherry and a pronounced saline streak that gives the wine some nice motion in the mouth. The tannins are super fine and soft, fading over an agreeable finish. A really nice Pinot from an iconic site planted by Charles Coury and Dick Erath back in 1971. It’s own-rooted and biodynamically farmed. 10 months on 25% new French oak. 13.9% abv.
