In 1995 Bill Stoller planted his first 8ha of vineyards on the former Stoller family turkey farm, and the rest, as they say, is history. This wine captures the 2021 vintage, one that saw an abnormal ‘heat dome’ in June but returned wines of balance and freshness across the Willamette Valley. It spent a year in concrete cube vessels followed by three months on lees in steel tanks. Ronan Sayburn MS: Quite herbal, lean nose; good saline palate and minerally finish. Like an old-school Rully, with power and elegance on the finish. Long. Eugenio Egorov: Linear and precise. Aromas of lime and citrus blossom, vibrant acidity and hints of fresh-squeezed lime and star fruit. Ben Gubbins: Very cool, Chablis-esque style, full of zingy citrus, some leesy notes. Precise, texture a touch chalky and a gradual, citrussy finish. Smart.
