Bright and herbaceous Grenache from the Applegate Valley producer Troon, who push regenerative viticulture, biodynamic farming, and winemaking. This wine, a blend of two Grenache clones, sees 50% whole-cluster fermentation, is fermented in amphora and concrete, and is aged in amphora. It shows wild herbs, green strawberries and a smoky aromatic spice. The palate is primarily savoury, with taut early-season blackberries, raspberry leaf and chopped wild mint.
