This is a showy Grenache from the new Rocks District estate site from Valdemar, Las Canteras. It spends 15 months in 100% neutral 500L puncheons. This wine brilliantly matches the umami-driven terroir elements from The Rocks with an elegant approach to winemaking. Lower alcohol, neutral oak, and a 2% co-fermentation with Grenache Blanc. The result is brilliant, smoky red florals, exotic spices, and wild strawberries, alighting the glass in this wine’s aromatics. Savoury on the palate, a blend of red bramble fruits, salty brine and a mix of red dried florals. There’s a precision and clarity that carries through this unique terroir.
