This is aromatically discreet and the oak is evident in its Christmas spicing. An appealing ripe sweetness rises up, but it's not confected. Good acidity, with some denim-like tannins coming after the satin-textured red fruits and more sweetness on the finish from the oak. Medium- to full-bodied, well balanced, there's some masterful winemaking going on here. Flattering in texture. I would drink this now and enjoy its youthful elegance.
