Score range: 94-96. This Pinot Noir comes from own-rooted vines planted in 1973 at Tualatin Estate Vineyard by Oregon wine pioneer Bill Fuller. The wine is deeply savoury and fragrant in its rich conifer expression, laced with spearmint and sage notes. Medium-bodied, with black tea, loamy earth, and stony, flinty mineral character carried through the juicy, slightly smoky finish. Willamette Valley Vineyards was founded in 1983 by Jim Bernau, and in 1997 the winery merged with Tualatin Estate Vineyard. A limited special auction lot bottling for the 2026 Willamette Valley Wine Auction.
