This red blend from the 47-year-old Cherry Vineyard nods to the heritage grape of Paso Robles with its head-trained and dry-farmed Zinfandel fruit: attractive red fruits, cinnamon spice, and cedar on the nose. Cherry Cola and ripe, rich red fruits show themselves on the palate.  A high ABV (15.6%) on the label does not translate into the glass, which gives a lower impression. Santa Maria-style BBQ would be a worthy companion.
