The 2023 Ballard Adobes Vineyard Syrah comes from Los Olivos district and shows a smooth, velvety profile. Dark blue and purple fruit at the core, while notes of Tennessee sweet mesquite whiskey give the wine a distinctive warmth, shaped in part by warmer temperatures that hastened ripening during the vintage. There is a gentle, meaty savoriness and a touch of rusticity that add interest and complexity to the otherwise rounded fruit character.m
