This ‘Enchanté’ red is from William Chris Vineyards, established by Chris Brundrett in 2008, based outside Fredericksburg in the Texas Hill Country. From the winery's Tallent and Loyel Valley Vineyard and Upflift Vineyard. A blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16%, 34% Malbec, 16% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot. Aged 26% new French oak for 19 months. 100% barrel fermentation. Super Bordealais in style from the aromas to the palate. Lifted, elegant, and vivid notes of cassis, liquorice, leather, and tobacco lead to a medium-bodied palate with velvety tannins and a long, spicy, saline-driven finish.
