This Texas High Plains take on the tannic Sagratino is more approachable than the variety typically shows. This Texas example offers aromas of dried violets, crushed stone and fennel. The palate shows pleasant, balanced berry fruits that are enveloped by notes of black liquorice, bay leaf and plenty of black tea. At the same time, the tannins show on the finish that is touched with wintergreen notes.
