This Cabernet Sauvignon from William Chris Vineyards includes fruit from Family Vineyards (Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) and La Pradera Vineyard (Petit Verdot). Aged roughly 16 months in 25% new French oak, it leads with black currant and black tea notes, layered with cedar spice and crunchy, apple-skin-like tannins that bring freshness and lift. There’s also a distinctive black olive note and a savoury herbal character reminiscent of what locals call sand sage or desert sage—a hallmark of this part of Texas. A bright, expressive Cabernet Sauvignon from a very talented team.
