From the Stone Ridge Vineyard in the Royal Slope AVA comes a wine that brilliantly balances its weightiness with a freshness and florality. Aromas of violets, red brick, and ample blue fruits give way to cinder and crushed stone mineral notes. The palate is dense and brooding, albeit brightened by a note of blood orange freshness, pointing to the Viognier co-fermentation. Rich notes of baking chocolate and espresso make way for blackberries, soy, turned earth and toasted sesame seeds. The finish is layered and long-lasting with streaks of graphite minerality.
