2022 was a cool vintage in Washington state, which was a stylistic match for the Similkameen Valley’s Clos du Soleil, which outsourced its 2024 vintage to Washington. Vinified in concrete and aged in oak for almost two full years under the watchful eye of Ray McKee of the Andrews Family in Washington, then blended by both McKee and the Clos du Soleil team. Generous blue fruit reigns in this Merlot-dominant Bordeaux blend, underlined by a silky structure and persistent freshness. British Columbia soul, Washington finesse.
