The Corliss estate red wine from Red Mountain has aged masterfully. This 2014 bottling wasn't released until 2019; frankly, it's just now coming into its own and doing so beautifully. Gorgeous dusty violets open the aromatics, elegantly subdued red fruits, dried lavender, desert sage and whispers of smoky rose petals. The palate is refined, just beginning to unwind itself. Beautiful notes of pine sap, fresh red berries, a core of blue mountain berries, rich dark chocolate with mint leaves, and a tone of roast espresso bean finish this wine, staggering in its freshness at a decade on.
