This wine is composed of fruit from 15 different vineyards, with over half coming from the revered Red Mountain AVA. The generous 55% dose of new French oak is discernible but not distracting. It starts with mocha, then winter mint and blackberry blossom emerge from the glass. It's darkly fruited and cedary on the palate, with tannins which are still robust and granular. This evokes the Pacific Northwest.
