The opulence of the dark fruit aromatics is met with notes of white pepper, blood orange and blackened earth, though all a touch subdued by hints of smoke that, fortunately, does not appear on the palate. Lively ripe blackberries and freshly muddled mint leaves, mouthfuls of red plums and notes of frankincense and clove carry forth the fruit-driven red blend with substantial tannin and a lengthy, black tea finish.
