Plush and powerful with plenty of graphite tones that buoy the wine's ripe cherry flesh aromatics, smoky violets, and hot ember. The Shaw Vineyard sits on the northwest corner of Red Mountain in what's known as the ‘canyons area’ that reaches towards the upper elevation of the AVA boundaries. The wild desert sage and eucalyptus are the hallmarks of the fore palate, a savoury depth that escorts bright, chewy red berries, brooding smoky clove spice and a finish that melds white pepper with a fresh squeeze of blood orange.
