A Grenache-led Southern Rhône blend from the Yakima Valley grand cru site, Boushey Vineyard, where the site's soil diversity drives the wine's character. The Boushey site sat above the Missoula flood line, and its poor, ancient soils drive the unique elements of the wines that come off these vines. It offers wonderfully sweet blue fruits on the nose with layers of dried lavender, complex gamy notes, a mineral crushed stone, and a smoky blood orange brightness. The palate offers a melange of wild berries, and an overwhelming savoury depth unfolds as dried florals, smoky soy and rich umami cascade over layers of dark bramble fruits and spice—an exemplary bottling from one of America's most compelling vineyards.
