Columbia Valley

78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Syrah, 5% Petit Verdot, 3% Merlot and 2% Malbec, mainly from estate vines, with 14 months’ ageing in a mix of French and American oak, 27% new. It has lovely structure and elegance for the price, showcasing peppery brambles, sweet, floral raspberry fruit and a supple, creamy texture. Bottle age has opened up complex leathery notes, but the current 2016 vintage – with more new oak and Cabernet – is still primary.
