A pronounced yet pleasant floral, fruity nose of white flowers, orange, ginger, and biscuit. 67% Chardonnay from the Rainmaker vineyard in the Columbia Gorge; the remaining percentage of Pinot Blanc was planted at the site in 2020 at the request of winemaker Chris Sherry, who wrote his dissertation on Pinot Blanc while studying enology and viticulture at Plumpton College in the UK, and was inspired by the role of the variety in the blending techniques of Querciabella wines. Building on this foundation, the wine spent three years on lees, imparting a silky mouthfeel and toasty notes of almond biscotti. Rich, tropical flavors of passion fruit, pineapple, and lychee on the palate.
