This gorgeous Viognier from Liminal (a second label from Avennia Wines' founder/winemaker Chris Peterson) is a fresh, mineral-driven stunner with just enough weight on the mid palate to remind you it’s a Viognier but without the overpowering or cloying nutmeg and floral aromas found in many other examples. The white blossom notes are there, but linger in the background, blending with notes of chalk, Asian pear, almonds and vanilla.
