This 2023 iteration of the Roussanne/Marsanne blend, the Aerialist, is a wine of elegance and opulence. Honeyed apricot richness, beeswax, and toasted-pear tart mark the aromatics. It comes from two separate blocks throughout the WeatherEye site atop Red Mountain. The Roussanne in the High Canyon Block, while the Marsanne comes from a cooler, northern exposure that sits above the actual Red Mountain appellation. The palate shows poached-pear richness, nutmeg spice, and fresh herbs. There's the classic phenolic richness and mouhtfillin viscosity with a fresh, piquant salty finish.
