Sourced from the Funk and Stones Speak vineyards belonging to Saviah owners Richard and Anita Funk, this 100% Syrah is unmistakably from the Rocks District, with deep gamey notes, concentrated black fruit, tomato leaf and wet stone. The district's notably meaty profile is moderated by aging in neutral puncheons (18 months), 25% whole bunch fruit and well-balanced acidity. Full bodied, with flavours of black plum and stewed blackberry, this has a well-toned, lingering finish.
