This wine from Quintessence Vineyard on Red Mountain spent 30 months in barrel. Aromatics of red fruit, classic Red Mountain crushed basalt minerality and heaps of dried violets, desert sage and black pepper announce this rather big but balanced wine. The palate shows a mocha powder and rich, savoury herbs encasing red and black berry fruits, desert scrub and a finish of spiced black plums.
