This ‘reserve’ level bottling of Cabernet Sauvignon by a Pennsylvania winery is sourced from the Horse Heaven Hills appellation in Washington State. It features classic dark fruits and Horse Heaven tannin with plenty of oak spice, cola, sarsaparilla, and plush ripe blueberry and blackberry notes. The palate is velveteen, and the reserve level, seeing nearly an additional year in oak, has delivered serious plushness. Kirsch, berries, and a dusting of cocoa powder all come to play.
