A wonderfully savoury bottling of Grenache from Seth Kitzke's Upsidedown Wine and the high elevation site, Equus, at over 425m. The aromatics are as promised on the label; smoky rose petals, dusty lavender, white pepper and crushed stone are effusive in the glass. The palate is a brilliant streaking mineral, of gravel dust and umamiwith smoky notes of soy, bright red fruits, green peppercorn and mashed blackberries. An excellent sagebrush and wild thyme dust mark the remarkably long finish.
