Very floral aromatics from this early picked Syrah from a legacy site, Klipsun, on the western edge of the hot Red Mountain appellation. It shows plenty of candied red fruits and violets, and winemaker Devyani Gupta believes the concrete adds a tone of creamy strawberries to the fermentation. The palate is savoury and upright, with a core of smoky sea salt holding up an array of red berries and taut blood oranges. There's plenty of dried lavender and mineral freshness at the finish.
