From 1998 planted, Phelps Clone Syrah in Block 1, WT gets two acres of this site, Aromatics of bright blackberry fruits that mingle with showy violets and a mix of dried thyme and anise. The palate is savoury, with fennel, black liquorice and tart notes of blood orange. Perhaps the most elegant wine is made in the Horse Heaven Hills appellation.
