Discreet white fruit, lean, elegant, very fine and pure.
Concentrated palate with good depth and a long,
complex, spicy finish. Youthful but with a long,
lingering finish. Consummate.

A huge cate gor y that our judges condensed down to a clutch of superb Regional Trophies. Slovenia reaffirmed its credentials and there was another robust challenge from one of Burgundy’s most famous names. But, for the second year running Western Australia, specifically Margaret River, triumphed over all. Evans & Tate’s Redbrook was named after co-founder John Tate’s beloved red-brown dachsund. It was in 1974 that he and John Evans spotted the well-drained, gravelly site on the northern bank of the Wilyabrup River with its Mediterranean
