Burgundy 2017 is ‘a large vintage of mostly good quality wines, both red and white,’ says Tim Atkin MW in his en primeur vintage report – something the region hasn’t experienced for nearly a decade.
It’s a larger harvest with ‘definite patches of excellence, especially among the whites, which seem to cope better with the combination of heat and high yields.’
He continues, ‘When it’s good, 2017 is very good indeed.’ So below are listed the wines that scored 98 points and above. However, Atkin would still recommend a degree of caution when buying.
