UK supermarket Asda has launched a range of 25cl mini taster bottles, nominally allowing customers to sample wines for free before buying a full bottle.

Asda Tasters, priced between £1.50 and £2 enable consumers to sample a range of red, white, rosé and sparkling wines.

The supermarket also claims that if customers don’t like the wine, they can obtain a full refund on presentation of the receipt.

The Tasters cover well known brands such as Campo Viejo, Jacobs Creek and Casillero del Diabolo, as well as Asda’s ‘Extra Special’ wine range.

‘Many of our customers told of their confusion when it comes to choosing new wines,’ said Asda’s Philippa Carr MW. ‘Tasters are designed to give these customers the confidence to try new wines and make enjoying wine accessible to all,’

Asda expects to add new wines to the Tasters range every few months, with sparkling wines on the shelves in time for Christmas.
