<p>From 22- to 34-year-old vines of multiple clones planted on well-drained sandy loam over clay this is a sophisticated wine with violet florals, Chinese five spice and sappy, leafy lift to its firm cherry and pomegranate fruit. It has lovely intensity without density, fresh acidity and fine-grained tannins. Open-fermented in French oak, with 15% whole bunches and aged for 10 months in French oak, 30% new.</p>
