Matetic makes some excellent value coastal Syrah from its biodynamic estate which straddles Casablanca and San Antonio, but its top wine is the equivalent of a good Cornas and should cellar just as well. Meaty and intense with compact black fruit, wet stone and wild herbs – the 2015 vintage is still just a baby.
