Françcois Dubessy, Juliénas, Beaujolais, Burgundy, France 2020

Beaujolais is the go-to lighter red for many wine lovers, familiar, easy to appreciate, and refreshing when served slightly chilled. Lidl offers a few, including this cracking wine from one of the Beaujolais crus, Juliénas. There's a good streak of fresh acidity, but also some succulent red cherry and red berry fruit. Great match for steak and frites.
