Cà del Magro is a 56-year-old vineyard in Sommacampagna with a terroir representing the Morainic hills. This wine is born from Marica's idea to produce a more complex white wine compared to the entry-level Custoza. A blend of 50% Garganega with Cortese (‘like Chanel No 5 for Custoza,‘ says Marica Bonomo), Trebianello (a biotype of Friulano) and Incrocio Manzoni, its flinty aromatics carry ripe melon, peach and apple scents. In the mouth it's again flinty, with an intensity of rich apple, lime peel, apricot, yellow plum, honeydew melon and white flowers. Textural, sapid and structured, with crisp acidity and a stony, limey finish, this is simply a brilliant white you won't be able to put down.
