This is delightfully clean and refreshing, as you'd expect from the verdant Minho region, but this wine also has a layered richness to it that may surprise. The fresh, clean nose has nice herbal hints, concealing what's to follow on the palate: a green, fresh and grassy wine with notes of green apple, honeydew melon and garden peas, followed by layers of gentle herbs and light wisps of mineral. The fruit character persists on the finish. As good as it gets from Vinho Verde.
