Abel Mendoza’s Malvasía wines look completely different to most other Malvasías in Rioja. They are expressive, with lovely floral notes and a touch of apricot and quince, along with balanced acidity. Although in this wine the extended maceration seems a bit dominant, there is finesse on the finish and a lovely openness too. A rare and delicious wine.
