A wine for the gambler in you, at Navarro Vineyards, Gewürtztramner is left on the vine in hopes of botrytis; it requires specific conditions that haven't happened since 2019; this is the last time this wine was made. It's gorgeous and rich in the 2019. Late October rains and warm weather meant that botrytis exploded in the bunches. The intentional farming is still a roll of the dice, but it paid off in spades in this bottling. Honeyed notes of apricots, toasted marshmallows, and sweet peaches announce the aromatics. The palate shows fleshy, ripe nectarine and pineapple and notes of coriander and candied orange peel. Heady and hedonistic.
